Eliminatory filters
Eliminatory filters remove jurisdictions from the ranking entirely — they are not weights. Leave a filter off if you only want it to influence the score, not to exclude countries.
Cost of living index (100 = most expensive tier). Jurisdictions above this value are removed from the ranking. Keep at 100 to exclude nothing.
ON: countries that levy an annual tax on your total net worth are removed. OFF: they remain and are only penalized in the tax score.
ON: countries that tax inheritance or estate transfers to your heirs are removed. OFF: they stay in the ranking with a lower succession score.
ON: keep only countries that tax income earned inside the country, ignoring foreign income. OFF: worldwide-taxation countries are also considered.
ON: keep only jurisdictions where residency can eventually lead to naturalization / a second passport. OFF: residence-only jurisdictions remain eligible.
ON: keep only jurisdictions where crypto gains are untaxed once the holding period is met (e.g. Portugal exempts positions held 365 days or more). OFF: all jurisdictions stay in the ranking and crypto taxation only weighs on the score.
